What to expect:
Experience a live, local, curated storytelling show. The second Tuesday of each month, the Homewood Stories team brings five storytellers from around the Chicagoland area to share original personal narratives with our BEAUTIFUL Homewood Stories audience. These stories are liable to pull at your heartstrings, make you laugh, make you think, maybe even fire you up a bit, but they will always make you glad you came.
We gather in a beautiful, peaceful venue, a welcoming space that is just right for telling and listening to stories.
The show opens with three storytellers taking the stage to share their life experiences. After a short break, two more tellers round out the evening.
Come early and you'll have the chance to meet some new friends.
Bring beverages (wine, soda, whatever you like), dinner from one of our wonderful local restaurants, snacks, or anything else you need to settle in and enjoy the show.

Eunice Jarrett is a retired teacher, therapist, and preacher's daughter. She is the proud mother of two adult sons who say her clean comedy and stories make her finally seem adorable.
Simi Krishnan is a mother of two, an analytics pro by day, and a storytelling enthusiast by night. With a passion for real-life narratives, Simi is one of the two producers of The People Tree, a live storytelling show in Naperville held every third Thursday of the month. Whether she's unraveling insights at work or digging deeper into life’s meaning, Simi is all about discovering the layers that make each story unique—especially her own.
Wayne Lerner, a retired healthcare executive and associate professor of health systems management, had a dream in high school to tell an original story he wrote to an audience who voluntarily chose to come and hear him speak. We celebrate with Wayne and he joins us for the second time on our Homewood Stories stage.
Paul Teodo is our beloved October host. Paul Teodo is a retired healthcare executive. He has been telling stories on stage in and around Chicago the past 15 years. Paul has co-authored 3 novels: PASTAMAN, Call Me Z, and his newest novel: Rey Of Hope, along with a book of short stories South of Cermak; Chicago Stories, all available on Amazon. He will also have copies of his latest novel for purchase at the October show. Paul was on stage at the debut of Homewood Stories and is honored to be a multiple return teller and frequent host. We at Homewood Stories appreciate the love and dedication Paul brings to the show.
